Beginners Classes Programme 2013/2014
Once again this year (the fourth time), we are been running a series of monthly classes on photography for members of the club, there is a small additional fee of £5 per workshop to cover the additional hall hire costs.
The workshops focus on beginners using digital compact cameras, but are also relevant to members with SLR cameras.
We try to have small, interactive meetings, where new members can ask questions and contribute to the discussion without feeling embarrassed. There are practical exercises which are reviewed the following month. Notes are distributed after each class.
The classes take place on the second Thursday of every month from October to May. The bulk of the programme consists of a series of ‘Basics’ Classes, intended to develop fundamental understanding which we can build upon. These ‘Basics’ classes are likely to be repeated next season for those who miss them:
October 10th - Understanding your Camera better
In the latter part of the year, we may look at some more advanced topics; details of this part of the programme will depend on the interests of attendees.
Possible subjects include: Using Flash, People and Portraits, Low Light, Close-Up, Landscapes, Action, Raw Images, Digital Manipulation, Colour Reproduction.
